Part-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO)


Role Purpose:


As the CFO of The Co-Founder, your chief mandate will be to champion our first significant round of funding, setting the foundation for our fiscal strategy and sustainability. Your prowess in financial stewardship will be crucial to amplify our unique value proposition to potential investors.


Key Responsibilities:


Fundraising Leadership: Strategize, lead, and execute our inaugural fundraising round, ensuring alignment with our business vision and needs.


Financial Strategy: Design and oversee The Co-Founder's fiscal blueprint, guaranteeing long-term viability and growth.


Investor Relations: Cultivate relationships with potential investors, stakeholders, and financial institutions, reflecting our brand's ethos and potential.


Financial Reporting & Analysis: Ensure accurate, transparent, and timely financial reporting while also analysing financial data to drive strategic decisions.


Budgetary Oversight: Develop and manage the organization's budget, optimizing resource allocation in tandem with our mission.


Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards while proactively mitigating fiscal risks.


Team Leadership: Helm the financial team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and adaptability.


Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in spearheading successful fundraising rounds, preferably within the startup or VC ecosystem.

  • Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Demonstrable strategic thinking and analytical acumen.

  • Mastery over financial software and tools.

  • Robust knowledge of data analysis, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
